Classification of toggle switches
Toggle switches are divided into: small current toggle switch (Figure 1), and high current toggle switch (Figure 2). Low current toggle switches are commonly used in electronic toys and digital communications. High current is generally used in electrical appliances, machinery, etc.

Considerations for Toggle Switches
1. Use chemicals with caution
Since the bottom plate of the toggle switch is made of synthetic resins such as polycarbonate, avoid exposing the potentiometer to strong atmospheres of chemicals such as ammonia, amines, alkali solutions, threenes, ketones, esters, and halocarbons.
2. Use flux with caution

3. Solder

4. Low temperature work

1. Contact resistance test:

Third, the durability of the toggle switch
1. Solderability test
The top of the terminal is immersed in the solder pool to a depth of 1mm, the temperature is 230±5℃, and the time is 3±0.5 seconds.
Notice:
(1) Welding time should be less than 3 seconds
(2) The welding area must be more than 80%.
2. Solder resistance test
When welding in the furnace, the temperature is controlled at 260±5°C, the furnace passing time is 3±0.5 seconds, and the thickness of the substrate is 1.0mm
When hand soldering, the temperature should be controlled at 320±5℃, and the time should be 3±0.5 seconds.

3. Life test

(2) Others, satisfying the mechanical and electrical properties.
4. Heat resistance test
Place it at a temperature of 85±2°C for 96 hours, then place it at normal room temperature for 1 hour to measure.
Requirements: No abnormality in appearance, satisfied with mechanical and electrical performance.
5. Cold resistance test
Place it at 40±2°C. After 96 hours in an environment with a relative humidity of 90~96%,
