How Micro Switches Work
The external mechanical force acts on the action reed through the transmission element (press pin, button, lever, roller, etc.). When the action reed moves to the critical point, an instantaneous action is generated, so that the movable contact and the fixed contact at the end of the action reed are quickly connected or disconnected.
When the force on the transmission element is removed, the action reed produces a reverse action force. When the reverse stroke of the transmission element reaches the critical point of the action of the reed, the reverse action is completed instantaneously.
The contact spacing of the micro switch is small, the action stroke is short, the pressing force is small, and the on/off is rapid. The action speed of its moving contact has nothing to do with the action speed of the transmission element.

Micro switch classification
There are many types of micro switches, and there are hundreds of internal structures, which are divided into ordinary type, small type and ultra-small type according to volume; According to the protection performance, there are waterproof type, dustproof type and explosion-proof type; According to the breaking form, there are single-connection type, double-connection type and multi-connection type.
There is also a micro switch with strong separation (when the reed of the switch does not work, the external force can also make the switch open); According to the breaking capacity, there are common type, DC type, micro current type and high current type.

Micro switches are generally based on the basic type without auxiliary pressing accessories, and are derived from small-stroke and large-stroke types. Precautions for micro switches
(1) When fixing the switch body, use M2 small screws to fix it on a smooth surface with a torque of 0.098N·m or less. Also, to prevent the screws from loosening, it is recommended to use washers at the same time.
(2) Please note that the action body should not directly apply force to the button or actuator in the free state, and should apply force to the button in the vertical direction when using it.
(3) The setting of the action after the action is based on 70% or more of the O.T. value. In the case of a switch, do not set the operating body at the operating limit position, so as not to shorten the service life due to the opening and closing and overtravel caused by shock.
(4) In the case of hand soldering, please use a temperature-regulated electric temperature of 320°C, complete the work within 3 seconds, and be careful not to apply force to the terminal during the work.
(5) It is recommended to use a low power circuit type (Au clad contact) when used under a small current and voltage.
