British Plug Suppliers:
The British plug is also called BS (british standard) plug, which refers to the power plug with British standard as the reference standard. British plugs can be divided into assembly type and injection type. The assembled British plug is detachable and can be customized freely, while the injection-molded plug is generally integrally formed and cannot be disassembled. Common British standards in the market include BS1363, BS546, BS5733, etc., which stipulate the standards that a product must follow when entering the UK. The British plug is not only suitable for the United Kingdom itself, but other countries have also used its standard for historical reasons, such as Nigeria, Tanzania, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore, Maldives, Hong Kong and other countries and regions.
Introduction to the British plug
The British plug has three square pins, with “E, L, N” three poles, E (Earth) is the ground wire, L (Live) is the live wire, and N (Null) is the neutral wire. Follow the “left zero/right fire/ground middle”, generally speaking, there will be a mark on the plug. The corresponding current and voltage values are also marked on the British plug, and the British plug with a fuse will be marked with the word “FUSED”. The three copper pins of the British plug have the same spacing up and down, left and right, and its L pole and N pole pins are covered with rubber for safety protection.
The British plug can be used as a supporting electrical appliance, and can be used in industrial, family residence, commercial and other places. In particular, when British plugs are exported to the UK, BS certification is required. If they are exported to other countries and regions such as India, the requirements for certification are not strict. In addition, some countries have local protectionism, and British plugs need to be certified by their own countries when they are exported. For example, Saudi Arabia also uses British plugs, but when we export plugs to Saudi Arabia, we need to have the Saudi certification SASO.
Load test for UK plugs
Take the assembled British plug as a sample, and test it according to the BS1363 plug standard 1363 plug. In the case of load, the temperature of the copper pin does not exceed 37°C of room temperature (the temperature after 4 hours of testing), that is, the temperature rise is 37°C, and the line position of the live wire and the neutral line does not exceed 52°C of room temperature. Within the temperature range, the product can be qualified, otherwise it is unqualified.
Take the 13A British plug fuse as a sample, and test it according to the BS1362 standard. The rated value of the fuse tube carries 1.9 times the current, and it must be blown within half an hour. The rated value of the fuse tube carries 1.6 times the current, and it cannot be blown within half an hour.
